No, unlike calling cards, Alotel opens a personal account for you. You can recharge this account as many times you like.
This approach has many advantages, including but not limited to SpeedDial definitions and Automatic Authorization. You don't have to memorize new numbers everytime you finish your credit.

If you are making most of your calls from a specific phone, such as your home or cell phone, Alotel has a convenient feature for you.
We can define your phone number in the system, and when a call from that number is made, the system recognizes you, and does not even ask for your authorization code. It directly tells announces your balance, and tells you to enter the phone number you wish to dial.

No, Alotel offers a convenient way of making more than one calls in a single session. After you finish talking, or you are unable to talk (busy signal, etc.), if you want to make another call, press pound key twice (##). You will hear your balance and the prompt "please enter the phone number you wish to dial" again, and you can dial a different number.

No, Alotel features a special redial number for your convenience. When you are asked to enter the phone number, you dial 99, and the system calls the last number you dialed, which is essentially redialing.
For example, assume you called a number and got a busy signal from the target phone. In that case, you can press ## to get a new dialing prompt, and when you are asked to enter the phone number, enter 99# to redial.

Yes. Alotel has SpeedDial feature. When you log in to the members area in our web site, you will see the SpeedDial Section.
You can add the phone numbers that you call frequently to your personal SpeedDial List. When you define a SpeedDial code for a number, next time you want to call that number, you just enter the SpeedDial code you defined for it.
For example, if you are calling the number 011902121234567 frequently, just login to the members area, go to SpeedDial section and click the "Add" button. In the next page, enter 1 in the box named Code, and 011902121234567 in the box named Phone #.
Next time you want to call that number, when you are asked to enter the phone number, just enter 1# and the system will call the number 011902121234567 for you. You should enter the number as one word; do NOT use any spaces or characters like . or -.
If you want to define another SpeedDial, do the same things for the new number, but enter 2 in the Code box this time.
You can define up to 99 SpeedDials.
